Bangladesh, situated at the confluence of geopolitical turbulence, climate vulnerability, and developmental transition, is uniquely positioned to lead a new model of peacebuilding and sustainable development. To respond to this need, the Peace and Policy Solution (PPS) will be established as an independent research and consultancy organization. PPS will serve as a premier platform for interdisciplinary policy research, high-level mediation, evidence-based policy advocacy, and programmatic innovation—bridging local realities with global policy narratives.
Bangladesh stands at a critical juncture in its national and regional development trajectory marked by complex challenges such as climate-induced displacement, regional instability, coastal degradation, transboundary water tensions, and deepening socio-economic inequalities. While the country has made commendable strides in economic development, peace and sustainability remain fragile across many dimensions. In response to these intersecting challenges, PPS is envisioned as a non-partisan research and consultancy platform. It will serve as a thought-leader, policy think-tank, and solutions lab dedicated to promoting peace, climate resilience, and inclusive development through applied research, evidence-based advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Our think tank is committed to advancing peace through policy innovation and holistic approaches that address the interconnected challenges of human security, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment. We believe that peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice, equity, and resilience in societies and ecosystems.
